When you reach a level of resin crafting you start looking at every object and ask yourself....
"Can I put resin in that or put that in resin?"
Trust me! If you haven't thought that already then it's still early in your journey. haha.
That's exactly what happened to me on one of my regular trips to Hobby Lobby. I honestly don't even remember why I was in that section of the store. I think I was looking for the miniatures and happened to wander down the isle where all the wood projects were. I saw that white frame and it immediatly reminded me of looking out a window!
My first project in one of the beautiful frames was a beach scene. I'm still working on mastering the wave technique. I was going for more of a lacey look but the wispy effect did turn out nice. I had almost thought I ruined it because I went heat gun happy. Which I learned after the fact that is a terrible idea for waves haha.
All we can do is practice and learn from each project. This one taught me to put the heat gun down and stop being to critical of myself.
I love these frames so more story windows will come in time. My inspiration comes to me at the perfect times so I know they'll be good.
Until the next time.....
